We have handled a variety of offshore vessel projects utilizing our specific strengths in both tangible and intangible areas.
Major Past Projects
01
Submarine drilling survey
Drilling operations for a submarine drilling survey for underwater resources, such as methane hydrate.
After arriving at the drilling point, DPS is used to dynamically position the hull. *Robot and drill operations are conducted by an on-board specialist team.
Drill pipes are connected to reach and drill into the seafloor. Drill pipes can be connected up to a maximum length of 325m.

Survey of the battleship Yamato
A video survey of the sunken battleship Yamato was conducted using a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) in May 2016.
A remotely operated vehicle (ROV) was put into water with the assistance of the crew. *Robot and drill operations are conducted by an on-board specialist team.
The ROV recorded the wreckage. The navigator used DPS to operate the ROV to prevent damage to its cable.
After recording, the ROV was retrieved with the assistance of the crew.

Seabed survey by ROV
We conduct various video seabed surveys and operations using a remotely operated vehicle (ROV).
After arriving at a surveyed marine area, a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) is put into water with the assistance of the crew. *Robot operation is conducted by an on-board specialist team.
The ROV operator conducts underwater recording and works remotely while on board.
After these operations, the ROV is retrieved with the assistance of the crew.

Salvage of wreckage
We undertake the salvage of sunken objects using a remotely operated vehicle (ROV).
After placing wires into the water from one vessel, and dropping an ROV from another vessel, the wires are fastened to the wreckage. *Robot operation is conducted by an on-board specialist team.
The ROV engages the suspension wires.
The wreckage is salvaged while being monitored using the ROV.

Topographic survey by AUV
Seafloor topographical surveys conducted using an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV)
A remotely operated vehicle (AUV) is put into a surveyed water with the assistance of the crew. *Robot operation is conducted by an on-board specialist team.
After collecting topographical data autonomously, the AUV is retrieved with the assistance of the crew.

06
Salvage
Towing a stranded ship to a specified port.
Upon receiving a call for salvage, the salvage vessel is immediately fitted out before setting off.
At the salvage point, all crew members and engineers work together to transfer to a stranded ship and engage the towing rope.

We can also salvage larger vessels.
We can work in troubled waters.

07
Floating fish net collection
Using a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to collect floating artificial fish nets located in the middle of the sea.
A remotely operated vehicle (ROV) is placed into the water and cuts the mooring cable of the fish net for collection. *Robot operation is conducted by an on-board specialist team.
The cable is hoisted by a winch.

08
Shipping of supplies to offshore facilities
Supply and collection of materials and supplies to offshore vessels and rigs, etc.
Materials and supplies (e.g. containers, pipes, and cement) are loaded.
The ship approaches a target offshore structure such as a vessel or oil platform while using DPS for safe delivery.
If there are materials to be received, the ship collects and transports such materials to a quay.

Tangible and intangible capabilities
We have handled a broad range of projects and these experiences forged our capabilities in intangible areas (e.g. procedures and documentation) and tangible areas such as equipment.
– Our Capabilities –
Procedural documentation and hardware operations for dynamic positioning systems (DPS)
Towing procedural documentation and towing winch, tow pins, and shark jaw operations
STS (Ship To Ship) procedural documentation
Drilling procedure documentation (WOSG)
Azimuth thruster operations
Operation of heave-compensated cranes
Operation of taut wire measuring gears
Management coordination between operator equipment and ship systems
Laundry and meal services for vessels with large crew
Response to external inspections
We have effectively dealt with offshore vessel inspections in projects from foreign charters based on a thorough understanding of the respective international standards and concepts.
– What we have dealt with: –
IMCA’s CDMA
OCIMF’s OVID
Other oil major vessel inspections
Vessel inspections based on unique standards of European contractors, etc.
